TRAVEL 2016-2005

Kearny Thistle United teams compete in EDP and the Northern Counties Soccer (NCSA) league. Players can tryout for our travel programs and will be rostered on a team that caters to their level & development.

The program is ideal for players who want to be a part of a travel team.

League: Northern Counties Soccer league (NCSA), see www.ncsanj.com

Dates: Mid-August ending in late June with scheduled breaks in December and July.

Games: Typically 10 games per season, 5 home and 5 away
*Travel to away games usually does not exceed 1 hour

Training: 2x Week Fall & Spring, 1x Week Winter

Tournaments: 2/ Year

Cost: Highly competitive pricing (Uniform cost is separate)

Coaches: Teams have professional coaches including Goalkeeping specific clinics.

Other: Parent volunteers from teams help to fill roles of Team Managers and Assistant Coach

The EDP program is ideal for players who want to play soccer at a competitive level

League: Elite Developmental Soccer league, see www.edpsoccer.com

Dates: Mid-August ending in late June with scheduled breaks in December and July

Games: 10 Games during Fall and Spring, plus additional State and EDP Cup games *Additional scrimmages and friendlies

Training: 2-3 times per week depending on age group

Tournaments: 3-4/ Year

Cost: Highly competitive pricing (Uniform cost is separate)

Coaches: Teams have professional coaches including Goalkeeping specific clinics

HOW TO JOIN A TEAM

The season for travel is typically Mid August - June, with breaks over the holidays and July. Players can join teams throughout the season by utilizing our online player interest form, however we will only place players on teams that have open spots.
